GREATER VICTORIA SPORTS HALL OF FAME

2011 Induction Ceremony:  By Brian Zelley


The process began with an introduction by the
Greater Victoria Sports Hall of Fame president
Nick Tuele.  Also, his detailed message appeared
in the official program for the 18th annual ceremony.
Included in his message was the following announcement:


"Tonight we are also pleased to announce that the 
Hall of Fame is bestowing  an 'honorary life membership'
on Dave Unwin."

on behalf of the team member).

HISTORY OF THE HALL OF FAME:


As we look back from 1991 to 2011, there have been
numerous of inductees from Archery to Wrestling.
The sport of wrestling has only one inductee by the
name of TARAS HRYBIN inducted in 2002.  Taras
was also inducted into the Canadian Wrestling Hall 
of Fame in 1988.
